The Ghana Experience Ghana has many interesting experiences to offer the visitor and we can plan your trip to include as many activities as you have time for. Akosombo: Most of our groups travel directly from the airport to Akosombo From here you can visit the Volta Dam, walk round a local market and take a boat trip on the River Volta and see how the local beads are made from recycled glass It is also possible to visit Fair Trade Banana, and pineapple plantations.
Kumasi: Centre of the Ashanti region where you can visit the Royal Palace, Fort and the Culture Centre to learn about the history and culture of Ghana
Cape Coast: Here you can visit the famous Kakum National Park with its 40m high canopy walkway through the rainforest Slave Forts You can also spend some time relaxing on the beaches along the coast
Volta Region and East Coast: This coastal wetlands area is excellent for bird watching. A visit to the village of Xavi is very rewarding as it has been developed as an excellent example of sustainable tourism.
Special interests: There is plenty of opportunity to organise your trip to include your special interests. The School Partnership Program Uckfield Community Technology College,Weald of Kent Grammar School and Hazelwick School Crawley We arranged link schools in Ghana for these school who first visited Ghana in 2002 and groups of students and teachers have been every year since. They are linked with the Armed Forces School Kumasi, Krobo Girls Secondary School & Aggrey Memorial School Cape Coast.
